Alliances and trade are getting a rethink in Empire Grand Strategy's 0.9 beta, including consequences for breaking agreements. Queen-Jadwiga's campaign companion runs in a local browser alongside Empire: Total War, combining diplomacy with its existing food economy. Changes to the starting map's relationships apply to new campaigns, so an ongoing campaign won't inherit that part of the update.

The creator recommends disposable test campaigns and save backups, since removing the tool cannot guarantee that its effects will be reversed. It requires the Steam game on 64-bit Windows and a modern browser, and compatibility with other overhauls isn't guaranteed.

The regular rules mode works without an AI service. An optional OpenAI mode sends selected correspondence and campaign context to the provider and can incur charges.
