Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Retribution's Elite Mod Reworks Guard and Tau Units

Keeping an army alive in Dawn of War II can be difficult enough without having to wrestle with the controls when something needs repairing. The latest Elite Mod release makes that particular job easier, while also delivering another round of balance changes for competitive players.
The Elite Mod Team has adjusted Imperial Guard and Tau units, including the Sentinel, Kroot Carnivores, and XV8 Commander. Changes to health progression and reinforcement costs also affect how armies develop and how expensive it becomes to replace lost troops. Those decisions can have consequences well beyond an individual skirmish, especially when you're trying to maintain pressure without draining your resources.
There's a useful quality-of-life improvement, too. Right-clicking damaged vehicles and buildings now defaults to repairing them where appropriate, rather than requiring additional commands. The release also brings refreshed models, portraits, animations, and audio, including Ork assets drawn from the original Dawn of War.
One important warning before installing: the installer deletes existing custom keybindings and army schemes, so back them up first. The mod also requires the Steam edition of Retribution rather than GOG.
For longtime Dawn of War II players, it's another substantial round of work on a competitive overhaul that continues to refine both the battles and the experience of commanding them.
