HomeBrew's difficulty menus are working in the new BG3LE beta, according to developer lenonk. For players running Baldur's Gate 3 natively on Linux, the release adds Script Extender API v33 support and addresses the earlier HomeBrew version mismatch. The release notes also report working ability values, spell filters, equipment previews and appearance presets.

A standard Steam installation is required; Windows, Proton and Flatpak Steam aren't supported. Documented API differences remain, and cross-machine multiplayer hasn't been verified.
